This small yet very elegant piece of antique furniture was originally intended as a sheet music cabinet. However with today's trends of converting many antique pieces into bathroom vanities, for example dressers, buffets, sideboards, washstands, etc; this sweet little antique music sheet cabinet if one so desires could easily be converted into a gorgeous bathroom vanity or as a piece in which to house magazines, documents or even an extra cabinet to accessorize a ladies vanity for cosmetics, gloves, small evening bags, etc. This way you have preserved the total originality of the piece.
It is a small cabinet with one door, gold cresting at the top and on either side, with dimensional gold ormolu corners atop, influenced by the French Empire movement. The cabinet has ample space and can be used for sheet music as well as piano rolls.
Beveled Mirror at top. Below the door is a bombe panel hand painted landscape of a river scene with villa in the background.
