8 rolls of Washington Quarters. There is a total of 320 quarters with a face value of $80.These quarters were placed into rolls around 1965 and have been untouched ever since, they may have some unfound numismatic treasures, as we have not opened the rolls. Based on the dates of these quarters we believe them to be 90% Silver Washington Quarters.Condition:These coins were labeled as "BU", which stands for Brilliant Uncirculated. That means that the coin described is in mint condition, although not necessarily perfect condition with its original mint lustre. We are not coin experts and these are listing as brought to us. Our statement here is strictly our opinion only. You be your own judge. All of these are in BU condition based on markings done back in 1970's by a coin expert our client hired. May have slightly oxidized with the air..See pictures.
History of Washington Quarter
45 odd years ago, all the quarters that were minted for circulation contained 90% silver. That all stopped in 1965, when the U.S. Government began minting clad quarters. Here's a chance to own a mixed date roll of 40 Silver Washington Quarters, all in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Each coin contains 6.25 grams of silver, and dated between-1964 (our choice of dates). Since all of these coins are still in BU condition, you'll be assured of their future collectability, since it's unlikely that another circulating silver quarter will ever be struck.
